County Executive formed Anne Arundel County Gun Violence Prevention Task Force in April 2019 (Executive Order no. 9).

From Task Force a preliminary report to the County Executive was due December 15, 2019, and a final report, May 1, 2020.

CAPITAL & SPECIAL PROJECTS
Under Police Department, Capital and Special Projects was created in Jan. 2016 and abolished Sept. 1, 2016.

CHARTER REVISION COMMISSION 2011
Appointed by County Council:

After publication of each federal decennial census, County Charter requires that County Council appoint a Charter Revision Commission. Commission makes a comprehensive study of County government, updates its Charter where necessary, and may recommend revisions to councilmanic election districts at that time (County Charter, Article XII, sec. 1203).

Authorized by County Council Resolution no. 28-11, Charter Revision Commission was appointed in April 2011, and submitted its final report to County Council on April 16, 2012.

CHESAPEAKE INNOVATION CENTER
Opened in 2014 as a business incubator, defunded in July 2017.

COMMISSION ON EXCELLENCE
Appointed by County Executive:

The County Executive established Commission on Excellence in April 2013.

Consisting of 47 volunteer members, Commission submitted its final report on February 4, 2014.

OFFICE OF ASSESSMENT, PLANNING, & RESPONSE
Under Health Department, renamed Office of Assessment and Planning.

SCHOOL BOARD NOMINATING COMMISSION
Commission consisted of five members appointed to four-year terms by Governor; a member appointed by County Executive; a member appointed by Board of Community College Trustees; a member appointed by Anne Arundel County Council of Parent Teacher Associations; a member appointed by Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County; a member appointed by Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce; and a member appointed by Association of Educational Leaders. Governor named chair.

In 2017, School Board Nominating Commission was reorganized as School Board Appointment Commission (Chapter 35, Acts of 2016).
