Obtaining Images and Rights & Reproduction Permissions
The Maryland State Archives provides digital images, digital prints, government records and a limited number of color transparencies of works in our collections. In order to obtain and reproduce a document(s) and or image(s) for any type of publication, exhibition, web site and CD-ROM etc., a written request is required. Each project is evaluated separately and rights and reproduction fees are charged according to the nature of the project
To obtain permission to publish materials from our collections please complete the permissions and payment forms and send them via email, fax, or post mail. For all requests, please fill out both forms and submit them to the Archives.
Orders will take 2-4 weeks to fulfill. Please contact the Archives if an order is needed sooner. Rush charges may apply.
