Biography:

Reputed to be a drunkard, the Englishman Sinnett worked as a common laborer in Baltimore County.  In December 1852, having been convicted of enticing and persuading a slave to flee, the literate, single man, who had never been bound-out, began a sentence he would serve until receiving a pardon in May 1859.
