Daniel (b. circa 1818)
MSA SC 5496-1519
Fled from slavery, Somerset County, Maryland, 1852

Biography:

Daniel is another slave who appears to have taken advantage of the possibilities available to run when at a Sunday Deal Island Camp Meeting of 1852. Instances such as this probably intensified slaveowners' concern when groups of Negroes assembled.
