and Baltimore, Wilmington and Philadelphia Railroad.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to His Excellency,
Governor Hicks.

On motion of Mr. Stone,

Ordered, That five hundred additional copies of the bill "to
provide for the Safety and Peace of the people," be printed for
the use of the Senate.

Mr. Goldsborough, of Dorchester, submitted the following
message:

BY THE SENATE,

May 3d, 1861.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We respectfully propose to your Honorable Body, that when
the two Houses adjourn to-day, they adjourn to meet on Tues-
day next, May 7th, at 12 o'clock.

Mr. Yellott moved to lay the message on the table.

Mr. Goldsborough, of Talbot, offered as a substitute, the fol-
lowing :

Ordered, That the Senate adjourn until Mondav next at 10
o'clock, A. M.

The yeas and nays being demanded, appeared as follows :
