County being intended for England as he

himself gives it out whereby there will be a Vacancy of the
Sher: Place of that County their honors in consideration of the
great favour his Lop has signified in behalf of Mr Butler
recomended to his Lop by the Countess of Tyrconnell, were
pleased to offer the Sheriffs Place of said County to the said
Mr Butler which he accepted and thereupon ordered that he
have Commo for said Place accordingly giveing good security
as in such case is usuall.
At a Councill held the same day & present
as above except Majr Sewall.

May it please your Honors
There are some persons in the last Comisso for this County
which we humbly pray your Honors may not be put in again
upon these reasons, as Capt Wm Laurence who is a person
now grown aged and deaf and seldom helpfull to us, and him-
self desirous to be out, Mr Isaack Winchester not an Inhab-
itant in this County and Mr Charles Tilden by whose meanes
we have been often disappointed & one who is so genlly
taken notice of for his imperious behaviour as not thought fit
for what your Honors have been pleased to confere upon
therefore request your Honors to send us up a New Comisso
